About Jason

Who I am
I’m Jason, an Account Manager in Large Customer Sales at Google. In my senior year of college, I was admitted to Columbia University’s deferred-enrollment MBA program.
Outside of work, I run Jason Career, where I share experience on careers, studying abroad and job hunting. My Instagram has more than 30,000 followers.
Startup: OfferLand
I founded OfferLand, a one-stop platform for studying abroad and careers. It collects more than 5,000 study-abroad admission results and offers an interview question bank, application profile analysis and mentor matching.
Why I write Jason Finance
As a working professional in Taiwan, I’ve been figuring out how to invest in US stocks, open overseas accounts and choose credit cards myself. Along the way I kept finding that information online was either outdated or only told half the story — the details that really matter you only learn by going through it yourself.
So I started Jason Finance to write down what I’ve actually used and done: investing in US stocks through overseas brokers, opening a bank account in Hong Kong, and everyday use of credit cards and banks.
It’s also where I organize my own experience and money principles. I want to build a clear, logical system for myself that I can follow over the long term, instead of changing course with every piece of market news.
Content principles
- I write only about tools, rules, principles and personal experience.
- No individualized investment advice: I won’t tell you what to buy now, predict crypto prices, or recommend buying or selling individual stocks.
- Official sources come first: fees and conditions link to official sources, and every article shows when it was last updated. These details change often, so check with the provider before you act.
Invitation codes
Some articles contain invitation codes or invitation links. Any offers mentioned are the provider’s official offers. I only recommend products I’ve actually used and think are worth it.
